Veterans Day

According to Sadi today is Veterinarians Day. So to all those animal doctors out there. Thank you! And thank you to Sadi for miss reading the calender so I had the chance to explain that today is Veterans day and the reason why we celebrate it. We proudly wore our yellow ribbons today. And I thought why am I just doing this today??? My heart goes out to our Military... Or who we have known as our friends. I think that there will always be an unspoken understanding that will never be known by others then those who have served.
I would like to say thank you to my dear wonderful family for your sacrifice of being a Military Family. I know that it was a lot of heart ache for you all. And Thank you to our friends who are still serving. We love you and miss you terribly! You all are in our prayers and always will be. We are so glad to have served with you. Thank you to all the soldiers that continue to fight and serve that we will never meet, though I know you will never read this, in my heart you will never be just another face and my prayers go out to you that you might find peace in a land of turmoil and grief. And thank you to my Dad and my other Dad (daddy in law) for your service. I am so thankful for you and your sacrifice. I am also thankful for your experience, and your wisdom in helping us in our times of need. I don't know what we would do with out you. I especially send out a thank you to my wonderful husband. The soldier above soldiers. I love you with all my heart. I am so thankful to have you by my side. (Even if at times it isn't physically) You are my rock!
I ask that after you read this to take a moment of silence and remember those you may never know but will always have an impact on your lives forever. Say a prayer for those who serve, and there families who serve with them. Thank you. We love you all.

Astronauts in training or just boys playing?

After hard day of work cleaning the garage it transformed into Houston Training Center for the young and not so young Astronauts. I think we have 3 pretty good pilots in our midst. What do you think?

We're Here

Our trip to the Fusion Beach was if anything interesting and made us long to be back in Hawaii. We had tons of fun being together and hanging out. We looked at the boats driving out and laughed at some of the names people named their boats going back home. We got to see where Ben works and he told us of the things that he does while offshore. After playing on the beach we noticed the sign saying not to swim in the ocean due to high bacteria being detected. So far we haven't sprouted extra eyes, arms, or any scales, but we will keep you posted though. We ate our P and J sandwiches and cheese sticks as we swatted away the misquotes from our legs. Needless to say we didn't stay very long. But we did get to reminisce in the memories of swimming clear blue oceans and BBQing on the North Shore with good friends. I know I know we are spoiled but I am so glad we had those experiences and look forward to many more new ones. (Anyone want to fly us back out to Hawaii?? Hello? Anyone??)

Halloween!!!!

We have Darth Vader, Yoda, Spanish Princess and of course Princess Leia. Yes yes I know Sarah, no more Star Wars for me! :) ROFL

And the winner is... the Fireplace

This is Cody's eye after his fight with the fireplace the other day. We almost had our first kid to have stitches. The doctor said that it was so close to the eye she didn't want to attempt it with a moving target. LOL and I am sure he would have given her a run for her money. Luckily it is in the crease of the eye so it will push it together and heal.

Yoda and Robin???

We went to a Halloween party on Friday night and my wonderful friend Heidi took this picture of our boys Jacob and Cody. They are two parts of the three amigos. The third wasn't with them that night.
I have to post this picture now, instead of after Halloween with the rest of the crew, One because it is to cute to wait, and Two because it will be the only picture I have before Cody's fight with the fireplace. (don't worry I will explain... later)

Pumpkin Patch

For homeschooling we went on a field trip with other homeschoolers to a pumpkin patch. It was so cool. There were hay rides, farm animals, a little maze, story time... and oh yea PUMPKINS!
We even learned about different kinds of pumpkins and were given seeds and taught their special needs to allow the seeds to grow.

In a galaxy far, far away...a boy of destiny was born. The Jedi Council named him Cole and they knew he was the Chosen One. In the five years that has followed his birth, he has been learning the powers of the Force. Master Yoda is urging the younglings to complete their Jedi training and take part in the upcoming trials at 202 Hulin Rd. on , September 22nd. Your Padawan's presence is requested to complete his Jedi Training. Transport to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant will be departing promptly at 1:00 p.m. Please advice the Jedi Council at 839-2894 as to whether your Padawan will accept the challenge.

Family Party

The leaning tower of cake! Ben really wanted to eat the cake so he wouldn't let me use the cool toy I have that lets me level the different layers so they will be flat. So we have a three layer cake that looks.... well, but tastes just as good!

Happy Birthday Cole!

The Birthday Boy!!! Wow I can't believe Cole is 6 years old. September is here, which means a new school year and another year older for my boy. He is now in the 1st grade. It reminds me of Sadi's kindergarten class song. They would sing it everyday before they went home.
Kindergartens over we are going home. Goodbye, goodbye be always kind and good. AND RESPECTFUL! Gratitude fills my heart for these 6 wonderful years with this wonderful little man. His giving heart and unconditional love for everyone is such a Christ like example.
